MURCOM offers more reliable
bandwidth with our fully redundant core network. Dual Tier-1
Carriers provide MURCOM with a throughput speed of 150MBps using OC-3 &
DS-3 Direct Internet Connections. Our system implements dual, Carrier Class,
Cisco 7507s. Each have redundant CPUs and redundant Power Supplies.
One 7507 has a Level3/WilTel connection, the other has a Time Warner/Xspedius
connection. Each router's power supply is connected to a separate
UPS. Each UPS is connected to a separate 20AMP electrical circuit.
Each electrical circuit is connected to the Emergency Power Generator
System. Each router is connected to our Core rate limiting Extreme
Networks switch. The Extreme Networks Switch has redundant Power
Supplies. Each power supply is connected to separate, redundant, UPS,
and generator like the Ciscos. The dual routers are configured to
operate as a single virtual router with full redundancy. Full BGP
routing is enabled. If one of the routers fail, the other will take
full control. If one of the Internet connections fail, the other
Internet connection will take over. The system also will find and use
the quickest Internet path. No local loops and direct fiber optic
backbone connections of only a few hundred feet enable MURCOM's core
network to be one of the most reliable redundant Internet network
systems available in the Tulsa area or the entire State of Oklahoma. |
